Sculpting the Human Head Fall 2015


Sculpting the Human Head

This intermediate course will focus on the techniques used to sculpt the human head in a classical tradition. Emphasis will be placed on anatomy, proportion, design and personal artistic growth. Students will be working to create a life-size head. Classes will consist of lectures, demonstrations, and work time with the teacher. Clay models, face casts, masks, replicas of the human skull, ecorche figures, books and drawings will be used to supplement lectures and demonstrations.*

*Students must have previous experience in sculpting to attend this course.

Saturday afternoons 11:00am – 2:00pm
October 17, 24, 31, November 7, 14, 21 and 28, 2015

$210 + materials (Members $195*)
Maximum of 7 students

*Course enrollment cutoff date is Friday October 9, 2015 by 5pm. Only 50% of your registration fee is refundable if cancellations are received with at least one week’s notice from the course start date. Fees will not be refunded after enrollment cutoff date. Minimum course enrollment is 5 students. If the minimum student enrollment is not reached by the cutoff date the course will be cancelled. If the course is cancelled tuition fees will be refunded in full. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
