Figurative Abstraction

This 2-day workshop will encourage you to let go and give yourself permission to play! The model is the starting point only as we break away from rendering the figure and explore much more expressive mark-making. Come and PLAY!

Saturday and Sunday 10:00am-5:00pm (includes ½ hour lunch break)

Enrollment Option 2. Call us to enroll at 519-642-2767 or visit us in person during our operating hours, 12-5pm Tuesday-Saturday. You will be required to make payment with Visa or Mastercard by phone, or by debit, credit, cheque or cash in person.


*Course enrollment cutoff date is Friday September 25, 2015 by 5pm. Only 50% of your registration fee is refundable if cancellations are received with at least one week’s notice from the course start date. Fees will not be refunded after enrollment cutoff date. Minimum course enrollment is 7 students. If the minimum student enrollment is not reached by the cutoff date the course will be cancelled. If the course is cancelled tuition fees will be refunded in full. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.


Materials list:
Acrylic paints (any colours), disposable palettes, brushes (including some big brushes – up to 4″ – be brave), any other gear you need to paint with, a couple of newsprint pads and a board large enough to hold a pad (your choice 18×24 or 24×36), bulldog clips, 4 sheets of Arnhem (used to be called Maidstone) paper gessoed both sides with Liquitex Clear Gesso (and bring the Clear Gesso with you as well), and be sure to bring a sense of adventure.
